Godrej

Godrej is an Indian multi-industry company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, managed and largely owned by the Godrej family. It was founded by Ardeshir Godrej and Pirojsha Burjorji Godrej in 1897. Godrej group supports healthcare, education and environmental sustainability initiatives.

Godrej is the first Indian company to manufacture refrigerators in 1958. It started as a lock manufacturing company; the Godrej group today is the most accomplished business houses in India. In 1930, it became first in the world to develop the technology to manufacture soap with vegetable oil.

Corona help :

In its efforts to overcome the corona virus pandemic, Godrej group has funded Rs 50 crore for support and relief. It has donated one million packets of hand wash across Maharashtra and also reduced the price of hand sanitizers to help the people. It has also donated ₹5 crore for the buying and supply of medical equipment and protective supplies to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and donated 115 hospital beds to Maharashtra government hospitals.
